I have always wanted to make art but life took me in other directions.  I had packed away my passion and put it aside for later.  It stayed packed away for the better part of 40 years.

A few years ago I signed up for an evening class in beginning drawing at a community college and committed myself to taking at least one art class every semester.  Fortunately, I have had some terrific instructors and now happily spend much of my spare time lost in front of an easel.

I especially enjoy drawing and painting people: portraits that portray an accurate likeness; representational subjects designed to evoke an emotion or suggest a story; and self-portraits that are part of my own reflection and exploration.

Thank you for viewing my artwork. If you'd like to say "Hi" or leave a comment I'd appreciate hearing from you.  Contact me by email at carynstromberg@gmail.com.
